- Bournemouth have lost just one of their ten home league games this season, winning seven.

- The third-placed Cherries sit 14 places and 16 points above the Lions going into this midweek encounter.
Cherries Backed to Pick Off Lions
Bournemouth responded well to their recent defeat against Brentford when beating Stoke City 0-1 in their last league outing and the Cherries can follow-up against Millwall this Tuesday to get themselves back into the automatic promotion places.
The 2-1 loss against the Bees on 30th December was undoubtedly a huge blow for Bournemouth in their bid to make an immediate return to the Premier League, especially after taking the lead at Griffin Park.
Nonetheless, they showed no ill effects just days later against Stoke and their 0-1 victory at the bet365 Stadium kept them firmly in the mix for the automatic promotion places.
They can move back into the top two with a win over Millwall this Tuesday – a contest rearranged from Boxing Day following an outbreak of COVID-19 in the Lions’ camp.
The Cherries warmed up for this clash with a facile 4-1 FA Cup success here against Oldham at the weekend and they’re hard to oppose for the points having won seven and lost just one of their ten league matches at the Vitality this term.
Millwall similarly encountered few issues during their 0-2 FA Cup win at Boreham Wood on Saturday and Gary Rowett’s charges beat Bristol City 0-2 when last on the road.
The Lions failed to win their previous five away trips though (D3, L2) and they’re likely to come up short this Tuesday. We’re forecasting a 2-0 win for the Cherries, who have maintained six clean sheets already at the Vitality this season.
