It has been some few days for Aston Villa youngsters, who had the night of their lives on Friday.

Whilst the likes of goalscorer Louie Barry stole the headlines against the champions of England, Jack Grealish singled out another teenager on Instagram.

The Villa academy product was impressed by Brad Young’s cameo appearance from the bench.

Grealish wrote on his Instagram story: ‘Well done lad. Brilliant when you came on’.

Despite playing against one of the best teams in Europe, Young had ideas of his own when he entered the pitch.

He picked up the ball inside his own box and did a ridiculous roulette trick to go past Xherdan Shaqiri.

The audacity to try such a thing for a proven performer is ambitious enough, but for a teenager to do that on his debut, alongside a team full of debutants, just proves the confidence these players have.

Every single one of these Aston Villa youngsters have now tasted what it’s like competing against the best.

And now it’s a case of following in the footsteps of a certain first-team star and expert ball-carrier in Grealish and becoming another superstar to break through from the ranks.
