12.20 – MansionBet Cheers To 2021 Mares’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m

Last year’s winner, FAIR KATE, warmed up for this race with a spin over timber last month and although she wasn’t at her best that day, she lacked for fitness on her penultimate outing prior to winning this event last season and is only 1Ib higher on this occasion. She beat a 130-rated Individual in this race twelve months ago so she’s clearly well-handicapped from a mark of 108 and can be expected to take all the beating.

PANIC ATTACK wasn’t seen to best effect when well beaten at Cheltenham in a big-field handicap last time out but that’s twice she’s underperformed at the track now and she’s shown pretty solid form elsewhere to this point. She’s in much calmer waters here back on softer ground and it would be disappointing if she couldn’t surpass her official lenient handicap mark of 113 in handicap’s for David Pipe.

12.55 – MansionBet App ‘Introductory’ Hurdle – 2m

GOWEL ROAD made a promising start to his career when forcing the well-regarded BEAR GHYLLS to pull out all the stops last time out, who had the benefit of fitness and hurdling experience. He’s open to significant improvement and has bags of potential to take high rank for connections this season based on that latest piece of form, which is undoubtedly the strongest on offer.

His main danger could turn out to be Alan King’s JUST IN TIME, who makes his hurdling debut for connections following an excellent spell on the flat. He was an above-average sort in that sphere being rated 97 at his best and, if translating that form to today’s assignment, he’d certainly be involved providing he can jump proficiently at the first time of asking.

13.30 – MansionBet’s Bet 10 Get 20 Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase – 2m6f

Another quality race that is armed with significant improvers. DICKIE DIVER made up into a useful novice hurdler when last seen, having finished a good fourth in the 2019 Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle. He goes chasing following a huge absence but if retaining the form he demonstrated over hurdles beforehand, he could potentially outclass this field.

SEVARANO has finally realised his potential by winning the last twice over fences and holds solid claims in his hat-trick bid despite being hit with a 9Ib rise in the handicap which makes life tougher.

Of the rest, PAINT THE DREAM shouldn’t be overlooked despite remaining winless over fences. He chalked up some very strong efforts in defeat, finishing runner-up on many different occasions, particularly behind good horses such as Grand Sancy, Happygolucky and Midnight Shadow in a Grade-Two at Cheltenham. He’s looked in need of a step up in trip for quite some time and, with that likely to aid his cause, he’s an interesting participant.

14.05 – MansionBet’s Watch And Bet Handicap Hurdle – 2m4f

Dan Skelton’s team continue in a rich vein of form and CH’TIBELLO returns to handicap company for the first time since winning the County Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. He has held his form well in Graded company since against top-class opposition and ought to go well with conditions and return to an intermediate trip to suit.

KATESON revels in the mud and got her career back on track at Aintree last time out, where she responded well to first-time cheekpieces which are retained here. The form of the race has already taken shape given the fourth horse, Mint Condition, bolted up last week to boost the form, so she’s massive each-way player.

14.40 – MansionBet’s Best Odds Guaranteed Mandarin Handicap Chase – 3m1f

It could be worth taking a chance on the top-weight and much-improved, MANOFTHEMOUNTAIN, who is a winner of four of his five completed starts over fences. He looked on good terms with himself when fourth at Cheltenham last time and the form has taken a huge boost given the first and third have won the King George and Ladbrokes Trophy subsequently.

Ben Pauling’s NESTOR PARK hasn’t scaled the heights that were once expected of him but his second at this track a couple of starts ago was encouraging and he ran well to an extent to finish fifth at Ascot last time despite making a shuddering mistake at a crucial stage. If he can produce an error-free round of jumping, he’s likely to be thereabouts once more.

15.15 – MansionBet Challow Novices’ Hurdle – 2m4f

BRAVEMANSGAME has been impressive in two subsequent starts since finishing runner-up on hurdles debut. His latest victory came over course-and-distance and although this demands more, he’s clearly a smart prospect and should go close.

STAR GATE retained his unbeaten record when winning a three-runner affair in a Grade-Two last month. The ground should prove no hindrance now tackling Grade-One company for the first time and he’s another exciting prospect in a race that is stacked with talent from top to bottom of the line-up.
