Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints
The Vikings maintain a slim chance at the playoffs. They need to win out and hope for the Cardinals to lose the next two games. They get a tall task with the Saints this week. Plus, they don’t have Stefon Diggs for a miracle at the end of the game. This game will clear up the playoff picture.
PICK: NEW ORLEANS -7 OVER 51
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions
Tom Brady did it to the Falcons again, but honestly, if the Bucs are playing this bad against terrible teams, they are clear one-and-done in the playoffs. They are easily in with their final games against the Lions and Falcons. The Lions are a disaster again this year. Organizational stability is really needed for this team to succeed.
PICK: TAMPA BAY -10 UNDER 54
San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals
Now this is awkward. Both teams have been playing home games in this stadium since contact sports were banned in Santa Clara County in California. The Niners season has been destroyed by injuries. CJ Beathard gets the start this week, but this team is finally ready to fold up and plan for the offseason.
PICK: ARIZONA -5 UNDER 48.5
Miami Dolphins at Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders are a team that folded up for next year before they were eliminated from the playoffs. They still have an outside chance to get in, but they will need a lot of help. Maybe they get it back on track this week. Derek Carr might be able to play this game. He should push himself after the performance Marcus Mariota put up when he came in against the Chargers.
PICK: LAS VEGAS +3 OVER 47.5
Atlanta Falcons at Kansas City Chiefs
After losing a huge lead to Tom Brady (again), the Falcons get to play a game where they have no chance to build any kind of lead. They would actually look past this game and figure out how to keep a lead in their last game if they were smart. Instead, they will do the “right” thing and try in this one. This will get ugly.
PICK: KANSAS CITY -10.5 OVER 54
Cleveland Browns at New York Jets
The Browns are on the verge of making the playoffs for the first time in 18 years. I believe they get the win over the Jets, but New York has been playing teams tough down the stretch. Of course, not all of the games, but they beat the Rams and narrowly lost to the Raiders and Chargers. They can keep the Browns from covering.
PICK: NEW YORK +10 OVER 47.5
Indianapolis Colts at Pittsburgh Steelers
The true face of the Steelers is showing. Three straight losses for the last undefeated team of the season. Their offense has struggled for much of the year since they struggle to run the ball. With losses against the Football Team and Bengals in two of the last three weeks, I can’t imagine it gets better this week.
PICK: INDIANAPOLIS -1.5 OVER 44.5
Chicago Bears at Jacksonville Jaguars
Chicago needs this game to stay in the playoff race, but honestly, they aren’t very good. They will pull the W; however, can they cover as 7.5-point favorites? I don’t think so. The Jags are really bad, but both of these offenses will struggle enough to make it close.
PICK: JACKSONVILLE +7.5 UNDER 47
New York Giants at Baltimore Ravens
Do I even need to write about this one? Baltimore is still on the outside of the playoffs right now. Every game is a must win. Lucky for them, the Giants are terrible. They’ve been even worse without Daniel Jones playing; however, Jones is on track to play this week. New York also needs this game because believe it or not, they can still get in too.
PICK: BALTIMORE -10.5 OVER 44
Cincinnati Bengals at Houston Texans
This is a pointless game this week. Neither team has anything to play for. Both are out of the playoffs. The Bengals can’t even get their rookie quarterback a little more experience. Houston might want to take the L just so they can get the best wide receiver they can since Watson clearly needs a number one receiver.
PICK: CINCINNATI +7.5 UNDER 46
Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers
Another meaningless game for the week. The Chargers should win this game, but like I always say, the Chargers know how to lose games. Literally since they fired Marty Schottenheimer, they haven’t been able to consistently win games. That was 14 years ago. I will, however, reluctantly take them.
PICK: LOS ANGELES -3 UNDER 49
Carolina Panthers at Washington Football Team
This a pick’em with a little playoff implication. The Panthers are out; the Football Team can win the NFC (L)East. Who knows who Washington will start at quarterback after Dwayne Haskins’ stripper debacle. The Panthers will take this win just because of the disaster at quarterback.
PICK: CAROLINA PICK’EM UNDER 42.5
Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys
Jalen Hurts almost did it again last week. With him at quarterback, can Philadelphia get back into their division race? Actually, yes they can. Washington will lose this week, and so will the Giants. If the Eagles win this week against Dallas and next week against Washington, they are in. Unless either New York or Washington wins this week.
PICK: PHILADELPHIA -2.5 UNDER 49.5
Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks
What happened to the Rams last week? They let that trap game complete ensnare them. Now they take on the Seahawks. With a win, the Rams take over the division lead since they will have the sweep over Seattle. They certainly can’t play like they did last week.
PICK: LOS ANGELES +1 UNDER 47.5
Tennessee Titans at Green Bay Packers
I know this game is in Lambeau. I know that the Packers are a really good team. I also know, this is Derrick Henry season right now. This game might just be Derrick Henry versus Aaron Jones. Who are you taking? I’m taking the monster that plays with the Titans. Tennessee wins this game outright.
PICK: TENNESSEE +3.5 UNDER 55.5
Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots
New England is out of the playoffs already. That is an odd sentence to write. They haven’t missed the playoffs since 2008, and that season they went 11-5. It is the first time in 20 years that they won’t have a winning record. Buffalo gets a big win.
PICK: BUFFALO -7 UNDER 46
